What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is known as yogic sleep or conscious rest. It is one of the most powerful guided meditation techniques that is easy and simple for anyone and everyone to follow. Yoga Nidra induces a state of mind that is between being asleep and being awake, resulting in deep relaxation. This practice uses breath and body awareness techniques to reduce and release tension both physically and mentally.

 

I like to say that Yoga Nidra is especially good for people who "can't meditate" because it’s guided, easy to follow, and all you need is 20-40 minutes to practice. This practice truly is for everyBODY. No prior yoga experience is required.

 

How Yoga Nidra Affects the Nervous System, Reduces Stress and Anxiety

When you consciously relax and rest, you also switch off your Sympathetic Nervous System, also know as Fight, Flight or Freeze, and turn on the Parasympathetic Nervous System, the Relaxation Response or Rest and Digest. These days, so many people are stuck in Fight, Flight or Freeze, which is a huge cause in stress, disease, insomnia, anxiety, depression and chronic pain.

This session is designed to you help reduce insomnia and fall asleep with ease. You can practice this in the evening or in bed before falling asleep, allowing it to lull you off to sleep. This session is not limited to before bed, you can listen to this anytime of the day for overall relaxation or a midday recharge.

 

Yoga Nidra for Anxiety

We all experience anxiety, some days are worse than others. This session was created to help you bring awareness to your thoughts, release tension both physically and mentally, reducing stress and creating a sense of internal peace.

This session is perfect to practice if you’re low on time, or simply need to reset and recharge.
